worst weekend ever!

Well I guess it is pretty obvious i am a packers fan and if you know me then that is a well known fact. Not only did they lose in devastating fashion today but by the looks of things right now the Bears are gunna win taking a game lead in the division over the Pack which would so even worse...I'm still hoping Vick makes a huge 4th quarter 3 touchdown come back to win the game i mean with the way he has been playing would you have it any other way, him showing even another way he can win, the huge come from behind victory in the 4th quarter! lol i know in my dreams but i guess with this win everyone has to start taking the bears seriously as much as i would not like to rely on Jay Cutler the Bears do and i guess its KINDA paying off for them i mean he is the best QB they have had in years. But other then the loss the packer game was amazing and so were a few other games so far my picks are pretty decent nothing amazing but still not bad. well i am off to eat ill have some basketball and hockey tomorrow and will hopefully be talking about how the chargers were the right pick and how they beat the colts.

im back

Seriously Alabama REALLY your gunna do me just like Georgia huh! but I expected them to cave, BUT BAMA seriously come on! well i guess thats what happens when you don't capitalize on every opportunity you are given i mean seriously that game should have been a blow out and since Bama made the mistakes and let Auburn stay in it that is what they get I GUESS, but still really your gunna give up a 24 point lead, ugh i guess i should have known they are not the 09 team and thats for sure but still i thought they matched up great and they had really no BCS game to play for so why not play spoiler but i guess that was not motive enough. I know it has been awhile since i made a post i was sick for a few days last week i know there is lots that has went down especially last week in the NFL. Two head coaches have been fired since i have last posted. Both were long over due if you ask me ESPECIALLY the Dallas one i think Wade despite what they did last year i think shoulda been gone at the start of last year. And Brad well i'm not to sure what he did but its obvious he does not command respect and there for can not control and NFL locker room that is for sure. But anyways this week is not that hard well as far as i see it but this year in the NFL no one is a sure thing so these picks are what i think SHOULD happen.

I'll start with my Packers who yes i am picking to upset the Falcons and yes i think it will be an upset even though i have not see the picks the people on espn have made i know that the ME and all three of the NFL network annalists pick the pack but only one of three of the people on Inside the NFL on Showtime (which is basically CBS.) pick them and i am pretty sure that the ESPN people will go the way of the Falcons. But i  think that Packers defense comes up big and so does Aaron Rodgers and all of his receivers. It will be a close one but i  think the Pack edge one out and hand the Falcons a RARE(another reason why the packers i say are an underdog Matt Ryan is  18-1 at home) home loss. (Packers 31 Falcons 26)

Tennessee at Houston i have Houston in this one they are coming off a hard couple weeks they could easily have come away 3-0 the last three weeks but everyone knows they have bee 0-3 but i think they come up a with a big one here with the Titans having to play Rusty Smith, yes there Offense is good but i think that Houston's is just better i think they come away with a W here. (Texans 35 titans 24)

Tampa at Baltimore i am taking the Ravens here yea the Bucs are 7-3 but they have yet to beat a team with a winning record IF they pulled this one off that would for sure make people start to pay attention but i think the Ravens just have so much Talent and unlike the rest of the teams with all this talent the Ravens are actually meshing with each other very well and they have so many superstars on both sides of the ball i think they are to much for 10 win tampa team.(Ravens 27 Bucs 17)

Miami at Oakland i hate to do it but i am taking the Raiders here, coming off a big loss last week i think they come back big have a huge game on the ground and i think they can have a big game through the air as long as their QB keeps his composer and not throw the pick and make sure he takes advantage of all that speed they have. Yes i know Miami is a tough defensive team but i think they are falling apart there offense is supposed to be a big part of there game but i think it will stall out and the Raiders will take advantage and come away with a big win.(Raiders 30   Miami 16)

Pittsburgh at Buffalo i of course am taking the Steelers not much to talk about here i got the Steelers winning big on the road yes Steve Johnson may come up big and give the Bills some offense i don't think it will be enough the Steelers win big. (Steelers 35 bill 10)

Carolina at Cleveland another easy pick i will take the Browns to have a big game and come away with a big win i think Peyton Hillis runs all over the bills and i think Colt has a great game as well and the defense shuts out Carolina.( Browns 31 Panthers 13)

Jacksonville at New York Giants i will take the Giants to win a close on i think there defense comes up with a great game this week although i think the Jags will get some yards, they have a hurt offensive line man so i think they wont be able to use Lewis like they want and Sims Walker is hurt might not play i know the Giants are hurt to but they have a better Defense and i think will have a better game all around and take one fron the Jags.( Giants 21 Jags 9)

Minnesota at Washington i think that the Redskins will have a good game i think that the Vikes have a great chance to win this game i just think the Redskins need a win and will find a way to get one having a little more to play for then do the Vikings i know that the Vikings can turn it on at any minute and start blowing people out of the water i just don't think it will be any time this week i think the Skins come up with at huge win here.(Skins 27 Vikings 24)

Kansas City at Seattle i will take Kansas City here i think they win big.(KC 35 Seattle 6)

Philly at Chicago i am taking the Eagles here i think Vick and his high speed offense will come up big against this Bears defense who i know is playing very well i just think that this year Vick is on a whole other level and will shred the Bears D, speaking of defense look for the Eagles D to come up with some big turnovers and make some big stops in a big win.(Eagles 34 bears 23)

San Diego at Indy another big game here i am taking the Chargers to continue on there second half run like usual. V jack comes back this week and i believe him and Malcom Floyd come up with huge games as well as back up running back Mike Tolbert.(bolts 28 indy 24)

San Fran at Arizona this one is my STONE COLD LOCK OF THE WEEK lol jk jk scott van pelt i got the niners over the cards big 28-10

wow

I only have a second but seriously can you believe the Texans 2 weeks in a row and they get shafted i mean last week was not as bad i mean at least we know they beat themselves but THIS week are you seriously Jaguars really you'll take that win i'm sure but really come on. And once again i go against the jets and and really how can you fumble that has to be at least a 3 point swing in the game which would have kept it out of OT and kept my upset pick right but once again for the 2nd week in a row my upset blows it in OT. Even though they should have had it locked  up before then and i guess that is what they get. I'm sorry but really New York football Giants REALLY the cowgirls spank you AT HOME, really I guess they just have Eli's number i mean 71% of his picks this year are from the cowgirls (5 of his 7 are at the hands of the Dallas D) but hey i guess i had to see it coming the way the NFL is this year no one is a "STONE COLD LOCK OF THE WEEEEEK" right Van Pelt, i mean Carl did pick the Giants as his stone cold lock of the week right? Him and everyone else who picked that game except of course cowboy fan picks them every week so yeah have your moment for the week Dallas, next week the Lions will put you back on a losing track. Well i gotta jet but come back later for what i thought about the WSOP final table and the Steelers Vs. Pats game.

Fantasy Football

It seems every year I am sitting there in the mid rounds thinking damn I missed out on a second solid RB last year i was thinking the same thing when i was reading the little things they have on players before the season and i saw this cat ray rice i figured why not ill give him a shot, im sure you all know how happy i was last year after his amazing preformace he put on, i also drafted him this year a little decline in points but hey still an awesome pick. But that brings me to this year and im sure you all know who im talking about thats right Arian Foster, i was reading how he ran well and with injury might come off with most of the carries at the start of the season. So i figure why not so i pick him up and the first week he goes bannanas and every week after prettty much. yes i do get lucky but also i have great talent around him for example on the team with Arian this year i have Pierre Thomas and Ahmad Bradshaw at the RB and for my QB's i got Drew Brees and Carson Palmer, as for my Wide outs I have Calvin Johnson, Steve Johnson, Greg Jennings, Mike Wallace, and Randy Moss, and Marcedes Lewis at TE and the Saints D/ST. thats one of my teams which yes is in first place. My other first place fantasy team is at teh QB position i have Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco, my RB's are Ray Rice, Reggie Bush, Marshawn Lynch, and Danny Woodhead, my Wide outs consist of Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Nate Washington, and Malcom Floyd, and my TE's are Visanthe Shiancoe, Tony Gonzalez my D/ST Eagles, Redskins . those are my 2 first place teams and my last teams who happens to be doing the worst this year i think is one of the most talents here we go at QB i got Philip Rivers, David Garrard, and Carson Palmer, and my RB's are Maurice Jones-Drew, Thomas Jones and Mike Tolbert, my wide outs are Danny Woodhead, Roddy White, Mike Sims-Walker, Donald Drivers, James Jones, Sidney Rice, and my TE's are Marcedes Lewis, and Tony Gonzalez. D/ST is Ravens. those are my 3 teams tell me what you think or if you have any fantasy questions feel free to ask.

3,2,1

Last night I sat and watch the big 3 of the heat put on what I would call an embarrassing display of basketball. Yes LeBron put up 35 but still they couldn't buy a bucket in 2nd quarter especially D wade and when neither LeBron or D Wade hit any 3 poiters its gunna kill you. I think in the start of the 4th or maybe it was the end of the 3rd but the 2 combind for 0-20 of 3 pointers think about it if they make 25% of those shots they pull off the win. But Boston just has there number they can't contend with them inside. Bosh is more of an outside threat then an inside one, he only had 7 rebounds i mean come on how do you let Rondo just drive in uncontested and jam in your face. Not to mention being right under the bucket and not jumpin for the offensive rebound. The offensive rebounds killed them last night amoung other things. Yes they are not tough, and yes teams are gunna chip away at you and play you as hard and rough as they can. I mean why not it obviously works. I'll be the first to say i never thought the heat would be one game above .500 at this point, yes they need to gel and get to know each other a little better but still, they need to be able to hit the 3 so they can spread the floor or else its a no brainer.

Ok I know last weekend my picks were not all that great and I will I did pick the Ravens to win last night but what can you do... I should have known not to pick against Matt Ryan at home 17-1 before last night and now 18-1. The only reason i picked the Ravens was cause I thought they had a slight edge in defense and they have a few more threats at the wide out position but hey thats just how the NFL is going this season no one is a sure thing. So that brings me to my 2 upset picks for the weekend, I will go with the Browns to pull off another big upset I know the jets have a strong D but Peyton Hillis is beast and I think he wont have as big of a game as last week cause of the difference in the run D of the jets vs. the Pats but still i look for him to have a big big game and I also think Colt McCoy will come up clutch, maybe not have a huge game throwing all of the place but manage the game good and make good decisions. The same I cant say for Mark Sanchez I know at times this year he has looked great i just think the Browns D will come up with a huge turnover that will decide the game and i think the Browns take it 17-10. And my other upset of the week this one im not 100% on it could go either way but im gunna go out on a limb here and say the Bengals are gunna upset the Colts. Thats right i said it the 2-6 Bengals are gunna beat the Colts, the reason I say that is yes the Colts are really banged up and hurt, and not to mention the Bengals have Cedric Benson yes they havent been using him as much as last year. Dont ask me why the dude is a great RB if you ask me but also they have a pretty good deffense that i think can hang with the colts offense, i know its hard to bet against number 18 but I still look for the Bengals to come up big here in a high scoring game, with the Bengals with a huge win. bengals on top 35-30.

And last night the Lakers suffer there first loss of the season. I knew they would be motivated and poised to come back strong with all the talk being about LeBron and his "desicion" and how they heat were already the favorite to win the NBA championship this year before ever even playing a single NBA game together. They were saying this right after the Lakers repeated thats right REPEATED back-to-back titles. So am i surprised that the Heat are 5-4 yes i am i will admit that, but am i surpised that the Lakers are starting strogger than not jsut the heat but stronger then anyone no not at all. Never ever count Kobe out especially with Gasol, Bynum, fisher, Odom seriously. I really do like the Lakers to 3-peat this year, i think the heat will maybe MAYBE make it out of the semi's this year but i dont think thats as safe of a bet as Boston or ever Chicago at this point.

One last thought on the NFL for today, the game last night might have been one of the biggest and one of the best games all season and while im all for the NFL Network and i am all for games on Thursday night but seriously your gunna put the best game of the season on the Network that hardly anyone has! Reallly guys really i mean yes if you are a big NFL guy im sure you have the NFL Network so its no big deal to you and yes i do have the NFL network and i did record the game on my DVR because i was not at home last night to catch that game but still come on guys if your gunna put games on the network that hardly anyone has make it a Bills game or something like that not the "Super Bowl" preview of the year!

I'm sayin

So I know my picks last week were not great by any means. but if you watched the games or at least saw the scores you would see that while the final result was off my ideas were right, and if a few things happen differently in most of those games I end up looking like a genious this week. Instead I get the short end of the stick which I am ok with. I know if won't last long I'm bouncing back this week. Enough of football for now.

As I sat there last night and watch the score ticker at the bottom the screen (while watching the amazing WSOP Main event final table) I saw the Utah Jazz pull a huge come from behind upset on the Heat of all teams 20 point come back. I thought wow really LeBron rips off a triple double D-Wade goes for almost 40 but it wasn't enough to hold of some 73 in the second half I think it was. I know people in Miami are worried but I wouldn't panic just yet. There is to much talent there and we saw on that 4 game tear they went on last week what to really expect this year from them. But as far as the Jazz I thought lucky win...then as I sat there tonight and watched the Jazz do the same thing but in much more convincing fasion to non othere then the Orlando magic and I couldn't help but to think of the Bengals of last year and there 4th quarter comeback theatrics of last season. While these 2 wins are very impresive and Millsap has been just killing with over 80 points the past 2 nights I am not sure I would count on the Jazz to do and damage in the playoffs but I also wouldn't count them out as they just knocked off arguably 2 of the best teams in the league.

No I am no basketball expert or anything but who was this radio personality blasting my man John Wall? Did you see dude tonight putting up his first triple double not to mention 6 thats right 6 steals almost making it a quad. I only can see him on TV but dude is quick and when you can see the speed on TV you know its there. Go easy on the dude he is only a rookie and I'd say he not only is living up to the hype but going above and way beyond it, his vision is crazy, granted he needs to work on the turn overs and his pull up jumper but i mean those will come with time. Plus with his passing and what he tries and the speed he goes at, there will be some give and he will turn the ball over its just what comes with it. Granted he could cut them down and i think with time he will do just that.

I've been itching to get to this since last week when my fellow Mountain West team handle bussiness when up against #5 Utah, TCU did not just beat them, they made it look like they were playing the practice squad or maybe a Junior College from Utah, I mean come on isn't that what they keep saying is gunna happen IF we put A "Utah" or a TCU in the national championship game. Well i think with that game there TCU proves that they can play with anyone in the country thats why i hope like me all of you will be hoping that 'bama will wanna spoil Auburn's perfect season, so that TCU or Bosie state will get there rightful chance at the BCS championship game, with a 1 loss Auburn and both TCU and Bosie undefeated i dont see how one of them wont be in there and if they are not its a disgrace to the college game i would say.

I swear every morning when I sit down and turn on my sportscenter and ESPN's first take, I cant go 3 minutes without hearing a new Cam Newton story about stealing, about cheating, about taking money, which brings me to my point on this subject yes the kid is a beast and is having an amazing year, but to sit here and say he has the heisman all wrapped up i mean SERIOUSLY? If i were LeMichael James I would not be happy at all, i mean is anyone paying any attention this kid is running wild on people. Yes i know also kellen Moore is in the convo but i see it either being LeMichael or Newton and i really dont see how if LeMichael keeps it up he wont take it home. Especially with all this about Cam Newton in the news.

Ok with this bit here I have very strong feelings seeing as how the Texas Rangers are my favorite baseball team and i am also a huge Cliff Lee and HUGE baseball fan in general. But i gotta say Cliff if you bounce on us and go to they Yankees just for a few more million I wont know what baseball has come to. What happen to the good ol days when people had loyalty to there teams and wanted to stay in one place and wanted to give there club the best chance, i know that owners are ruthless and trade you outta no where and you gotta look out for you cause yes it is a buisness but come on now, if this deal happens we might as well make 2 leagues the Big payroll league and the small payroll league because it shows on the field big time, but if the Rangers do loss Cliff Lee they HAVE to get the Matt Perk deal iced this year unlike last (I am talking about the TCU Pitcher i am pretty sure thats his name sorry if im wrong) year when he hopped on at TCU and almost took em all the way.

Ok and for the last thought of today, i wanna end on a laugh so please people tell me you caught the T.Ocho Show where Chad Ochocinco says he wants a date with the Queen of england and that he will facebook here LOL i know it was a sketch but really guys really? I do however agree with there call about Brad Childress, well i'll take it one step further and say PLEASE fire the dude i know he's been the guy there for a long time but the players literally "hate" him thats a direct qoute from a player, and the guy obviously or at least from what i see does not wanna be there. PLEASE get the word out about my blog and let me know what you think thanks SHOUT  OUT TO THE LOBOS WITH THERE FIRST WIN! GO MIKE SCAR!

Who I like tomorrow

Well the games this week SEEM to be easy picks (with the exception of maybe 4 games) I'd say to look again at lions jets game. I know I know I'm not the only one here giving the lions a chance but with all the sports coverage now a days no ones opinion is original. But lets look at the jets passing defense while its good they give up an average of 183 pass yards which is 18th overall in the league a huge drop since last year . You might sit here and say Jason that's not horrible, BUT look at who they give up the big games to...Denver, Miami (who I know has a much improved air attack since last year) and last but not least Minnesota who does have weapons but we can all agree haven't been who everyone thought they'd be. My point is Maybe the jets D while good may be guilty of taking it easy when they know they can. Which would not be a good idea with the stellar pass attack the lions have now with Calvin back to his normal self and a developing No. 2 wideout. Not to mention The lions have played Everyone close this year barley losing in 3 of the 5 loses they have had this season. I'm not saying they are a for sure thing but they are my upset pick this week. (21-17 Detroit)

My next sleeper pick is the Bill's over the Bear's also another popular pick this week (well more popular then the Bill's have been every other week this season) But lets look at the bears yeas they have a winning record but I think they will let Jay handle the ball a little bit to much. The Bills are 6th overall in the NFL in pass defense, granted there run defense is not that great at all, and i know the bears have Matt Forte. I just think that Jay cutler has a horrible game and fitzpatrick, Spiller, and Johnson/Evans combo will be enough to edge out the bears. (17-23 buffalo)

Those are my 2 upset picks this week, as much as i would like to take Philly over the injured Indy I like everyone else just can't get myself to bet against #18 he is so clutch its ridiculous. I say Indy with a huge win over Philly in a close one. (28-31 Indy)

Tampa at Atlanta is a really tough one to call, except I'm still waiting for the buc's of last year to come back while it doesn't look like that is going to happen with Freeman coming around his sophomore year. They just have not impressed me with a quality win this year. With a win this week i say the buc's are officially here. But i think with Matt Ryan with a healthy Roddie White and Turner is unstoppable not to mention Tony Gonzalez and they are at home. Sorry Tampa but I'm going with the falcons. (27-13 ATL)

The Miami and Baltimore game will also be a tough one to call but I still think on paper the Ravens have one of the most talented rosters in the league. Granted chemistry was a problem early AND the dolphins are a great tough gritty team like the Ravens but I mean come on I can't even name all the key players the Ravens have on both sides of the ball. This will be a close close one I got the ravens here. (21-17 ravens)

The rest of the games I think are pretty easy to call. I know that a lot of people disagree with me here thinking that the Kansas city Oakland game will be tough I think Kansas City will show people that they are for real with a big win this weekend, I also see a bunch of people picking the chargers to beat the Texans, why I do not know, I have the Texans BIG in this one with there D making a huge statement and Foster and Walter stepping up big with Johnson gone.

One more game to keep an eye on for an upset Will be the Bengals over the steelers  no I am not picking them to win but i wouldn't be surprised if they pulled it out, with a HUGE upset IF they can just get a tiny bit of a run game going.

So for the rest of the games I have...
The Saints over the Panthers (35-9)
The Pats over the Browns (31-17)
Texans over Chargers (35-24)
Kansas city over Oakland (28-21)
Vikes over Cards (31-24)
Giants Over Seahawks (28-10)
PACKERS over cowboys (35-17)
Steelers over Bengales (24-21)
