There are a few teams who are ridding a couple game win streak. The Heat, The Spurs, and surprisingly enough the Knicks. Yeah thats right the Knicks have won 7 in a row and 11 of their last 12 but like the Heat before beating Utah yesterday are yet to beat a team with a winning record so we find ourselves asking if the Knicks are for real? Obviously Amare is doing his part for them, averaging 34 points in the last 5 or 6 games i think (and of course the person i am playing in fantasy basketball has him on their team, and Blatche has been hurt for 2 games which really hurt me in the blocks and points department, points more then blocks but still.) but we will see if he can continue those numbers in the upcoming month they have a brutal schedule it goes like this Denver, Boston, Miami, then they get a break at Cleveland, then OKC, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Indiana, San Antonio, Phoenix, LA Lakers. So i will get back to you on what i think of the Knicks in about 2 or 3 weeks from now. But the Heat finally have beaten a good team in the Utah Jazz holding them off in the 4th quarter yesterday and pulling off a much needed win, tonight they beat Golden State which isn't as impressive but hey still a win. The Spurs have only won 4 straight but i think this is just the start of another streak hopefully like the one they had at the start of the season hopefully Tony Parker continues to do well. Back to the Heat tonight was Wades nights its like they finally said hey i dont have to score 35 every night to be the greatest, and they now arent the only good players on their team so they dont have to do it all and they CAN trust the other guys around them to also put on an amazing performance, like i said at the start of the season there was nothing to worry about when they find there rhythm they will be the Heat everyone thought they were gunna be, and sure enough here we are about a quarter way through the season and they seem to have things somewhat figured out. It seems that the Lakers are having there normal start of the season hardships but i still would bet come playoff time they are the team everyone is talking about, the team that looks great the team thats on fire dominating everyone. They have a favorable schedule the next couple weeks so they should have things going in the right direction as they meet up with the Heat on Christmas day.
Being from Albuquerque i was going to say good luck to GSP in his match against Koscheck, i think he is at his prime and i am hoping he destroys Koscheck, yeah i know i am a former wrestler and Josh was an NCAA champ but ever since i first saw him on the first season of the ultimate fighter, i have hated him he is so cocky and at the time he was a totally a one sided fighter he would just take people down and ride out the victory. Yes once he enter the UFC i will admit he did put in the work to become a better fighter but that doesnt mean i have to like the guy, but i am taking GSP in a knock out midway through the 2nd or 3rd round.
As far as the rest of my picks for the upcoming week in the NFL they goes as follows, I have the Browns over the bills, the Packers over the Lions, The Giants over the Vikes, The Steelers over the Bengals, the Bucs over the redskins, Falcons over the Panthers, The Raiders to upset the red hot Jags, the Niners over the Seahawks, Broncos over the Cardinals, Eagles over the Cowboys and last but not least the Ravens over the Texans.
