Clipped
Well after it was all said and done last night i ended up 7-5 which is ok i guess but not up to my standards (lol...but really) I was hoping that the Magic and Heat would continue to roll but that didnt happen. The Heat played the Clippers who coming into the game was 12-24 the Clippers were at home though where they have 10 of their 12 wins, which is not 11 of their 13 wins seeing as how they beat the Heat last night, not only did they beat them but the heat never had the lead. I guess LBJ sprained his ankle they said he still played 40 minutes and scored 27 points 6 dimes and 8 boards, and my man Flash had 31 points 3 blocks 1 steal 5 dimes and 7 boards, another great night for Wade and the big three they managed to score about 80% of the team points but for the first time that wasnt enough...(the Heat had never lost a game when the big 3 accounted for 70% or more of the teams points) the Heat struggled from beyond the arc shooting 29% going 8-27 from downtown. The Clippers scored 44 in the first quarter which was a huge reason they won the game outscoring the Heat by 18, and never really looking back from there, Blake Griffin had another 20-10 game where he went for 24 points 1 block 1 steal 6 dimes and 14 boards, another amazing night from the leading rookie of the year candidate. As far as the Magic go i am not as surprised that they lost they were on the road and playing a good Hornets tean espeically when they are at home, i think the Hornets are flying under everyones radar maybe cause they only have CP3, but all there starters played there part last night it did go into OT where the Hornets hung on to beat the red hot Magic by 3, Dwight Howard had a monster game reguardless of the loss he 29 points 2 blocks 1 steal and 20 boards, the only other Magic starter in double figures was Jason Richardon with 21 points 1 steal 1 dime and 7 boards. When you are an offensive team like the Magic so clearly are and you have 6 guys that can not only score in double figures but can drop 20 on you in a heart beat and you only get 2 of them to show up then that will be a big problem and i think thats what happend last night they were cold from the floor only shooting 39% from the floor and 38% from downtown that and 50% from the charity stripe that will really kill you espeically like i said if your a big offensive team. I wish i coulda watched this game, even though the Magic didnt seem to shoot well it still seemed like a good game, i dont get the NBA on a night it has 12 games there are none on regular cable and on a night like tonight where there are only 3 games they have 2 of them on TV i mean im not complaining about tonight cause i finally get to watch some NBA hoops but come on only 4 games a week on TV o well i guess they sucked me into getting NBA league pass which is obviously what they want. At least ESPN has a lot of college hoops which kinda makes up for it. Last night when i was watching all those college hoops on ESPN i was checking on my fantasy basketball team on my phone (which includes Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs) and i was watching the bottom line to see the scores of the NBA games and i notice that Tony only had like 6 points or something like that in the 3rd quarter so before the Spurs score even came up i was pretty sure they were losing, i only assumed that because earlier in the year when Tony was in a little bit of a slump and wasnt barley scoring in double figures if he could get there at all (granted i think it was only a 3 game slump) but anyways when that was happening i think the Spurs lost 2 of the 3 games he played horribly in and so i thought damn now there is just one more game i am not gunna get right, and when i saw the score sure enough they were losing BUT they got a decent performance by Manu and their bench which helped them rally back for a win but it just shows me how important Tony is to that lineup and im only mentioning this cause i dont think he gets enough credit for what he does everyone thinks he is over rated or that he isnt THE guy in San Antonio i know Duncan is but he is getting old and wont be around much longer and Tony has been great this year not just for the Spurs but for me and my team as well (which is so obviously more important then the Spurs LOL!) Last night as i watch the bottom line it really seemed like i wasnt gunna finish above .500 for my picks last night i didnt think the Lakers would pull it off, and i was a little worried about the Suns until they got into OT where they just dominated New Jersey even though the Nets had a huge lead. But i am much more happy that the Lakers won then the Sun obviously, Kobe is shooting better then he was during their losing streak which is a given last night he went for 39 points 3 steals 6 boards and 4 dimes, in the Lakers 4th quarter comeback victory again another game i woulda loved to watch. Thats all i got for my morning post i will be back later for NHL and some Play off talk, leave a comment on what you'd like me to write about if i am not covering something you'd like covered or if you have any feedback hit me on here or facebook.
